Oaxacan Azul Pendant

The Oaxacan Azul Pendant began with water.

Inspired by a fountain encountered during time in Oaxaca and by days spent along its powerful Pacific coast, the piece brings together two memories of water: one sculpted and contained, the other impossible to control.

A fountain rises through the gold form, punctuated by deep blue sapphires that hold the color of that memory. Architecture gives the piece its structure; water gives it its spirit.

Azul is ultimately about the strength found in surrender—the understanding that resilience does not always mean resisting the current. Sometimes it is knowing what to hold close and what to let go.
